These terms govern our contracts for the supply and installation of hardwood flooring, floor sanding, restoration and finishing. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
By engaging the services of Evan Hughes trading as Sole Flooring London ("we", "our", "us"), you ("the client") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which govern all contracts for the supply and installation of hardwood flooring, floor sanding, restoration and finishing services.
All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the information available at the time of survey. If site conditions differ materially from those observed during survey, we reserve the right to revise the quoted price with appropriate notice.
A deposit may be required to confirm an order and secure materials, as stated on your quotation. The balance is payable on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment terms are as stated on our invoice.
If you wish to cancel a confirmed order, please notify us in writing. Where materials have already been ordered or manufactured, reasonable costs incurred will be deducted from any refund of deposit. Changes to specification after order confirmation may incur additional charges and may affect the agreed schedule.
Unless furniture removal is expressly included in the quoted scope, the client is responsible for clearing the installation area before our team arrives. Where subfloor or other issues are discovered on site that were not apparent during survey, additional charges may apply. We are not responsible for delays caused by other trades or by conditions beyond our reasonable control.
Wood is a natural product. Variation in grain, colour and character between boards, samples and finished floors is normal and is not a defect. Timber also responds to changes in temperature and humidity; following our aftercare guidance helps keep your floor at its best.
We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on our installation and finishing work. This covers defects arising from our workmanship but excludes damage caused by misuse, flooding, excessive humidity, or failure to follow aftercare guidance. Materials are covered by the manufacturer's own guarantee.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total value paid by you for the relevant services. We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
